Daniel Neubauer Appointed Director of Estrel Tower - Final Construction Phase Underway

Berlin, September 25, 2025 – With today’s completion of the futuristic glass façade, Berlin’s first skyscraper, the Estrel Tower, has officially entered its final construction phase: the interior build-out. In addition to the newly installed atrium glazing, progress has been made on the drywalling of the upper floors, key technical systems have been put in place, and flooring has already been laid on several levels.
To mark this milestone and in preparation for the Tower’s grand opening at the end of 2026, Estrel Berlin has appointed seasoned international hotelier Daniel Neubauer as Director Estrel Tower. Neubauer will oversee the operational and project management aspects of the landmark development, reporting directly to Estrel’s Managing Director, Ute Jacobs, and working closely with Opening Manager, Gonca Dietrich, who has been involved in the project since its early planning stages.
Set to become Germany’s tallest hotel building, the Estrel Tower will expand the existing Estrel complex with approximately 500 guestrooms and suites, cutting-edge dining concepts, a spacious spa and fitness area, and spectacular meeting and event spaces. The project represents a milestone in the development of Berlin-Neukölln and sets new standards in hospitality, design, and sustainability.
With more than 20 years of international luxury hospitality experience, Neubauer brings extensive expertise in both hotel openings and operational management. Most recently, he served as General Manager of the Precise Resort Tenerife. Prior to that, he spent more than six years at 12.18. Hospitality Management GmbH in Berlin and Düsseldorf, where he last held the role of Senior Director Hotel Operations & Projects. In this position, he successfully led complex undertakings—from acquisitions and repositionings to new openings—for properties including the 7Pines Resort Ibiza, SCHLOSS Roxburghe in Scotland, the San Carlos Hotel in New York, and Austria’s Top Hotel Hochgurgl.
Earlier in his career, Neubauer held leadership positions at renowned hotels such as Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin, Waldorf Astoria Berlin, Royal Spa Kitzbühel (now Kempinski Das Tirol), and Sankara Nairobi. He is recognized for his ability to combine strategic vision with operational excellence, guiding teams through complex development processes.
“The opportunity to play a role in opening the Estrel Tower is an extraordinary challenge that I am truly excited about,” says Neubauer. “Together with the team, we aim to deliver unforgettable guest experiences through this unique and innovative concept—defined by vision and quality.”
By appointing Daniel Neubauer, Estrel Berlin underscores its commitment to growth, quality, and leadership—further strengthening its position as Europe’s leading hotel, convention, and entertainment destination.
