Whether in Berlin-Neukölln or around the world, Estrel takes its social responsibility seriously. As a company rooted in the community, we actively support social, humanitarian, and cultural initiatives. Our new guideline on social engagement defines our goals, principles, and priorities for donations and sponsorships — ensuring that our actions are responsible, impactful, and transparent, fully aligned with our corporate values.

At the center of our efforts are the people in our immediate neighborhood. Projects in Berlin-Neukölln receive top priority, followed by initiatives that benefit the wider Berlin community and, in special cases, international projects that have a thematic connection to Estrel or our employees.

Our Priorities

Our social engagement follows a clear geographical and thematic structure:

• Berlin-Neukölln: Top priority for projects and organizations in our immediate surroundings — especially within our local neighborhood.

• Berlin-wide: Support for social, cultural, and educational initiatives that have an impact across the city.

• International: Support for projects of particular thematic relevance or with a personal link to our employees.

This approach ensures that our support reaches where it truly matters most — close to the people and causes that connect us.

Examples of Our Engagement

• Benefit Gala for the Ricam Hospice Berlin: Hosted annually at the Estrel Show Theatre since 2006, with all ticket proceeds donated to support people with terminal illnesses.

• Wish Tree Campaign: Every year, Estrel employees fulfill Christmas wishes from children at a local Neukölln youth center.

• International Education Initiatives: Supporting the organization buildOn in constructing schools in Malawi, Senegal, Nepal, and Guatemala — with Estrel team members volunteering on site.

• Christmas Celebration for the Homeless with Frank Zander: Since 1998, Estrel has hosted this beloved annual event offering meals, gifts, and entertainment for those in need.

• Job Fair for Refugees: Organizer of Germany’s largest employment fair for people with refugee backgrounds (2016–2020).

• Support for Local Projects: Donations and initiatives benefiting organizations such as Berliner Stadtmission, Initiative S27, and aid programs for Ukrainian refugees.

• Partnerships with Neighborhood Management Teams: Since 2024, Estrel has been in active dialogue with the High-Deck and Weiße Siedlung neighborhood management offices to identify meaningful ways to strengthen the local community.
