With pioneering technology, contemporary art and a compelling minimalist interior design, the Estrel Berlin is taking the lead in the events industry with its new Auditorium. After nearly two years of construction, the Auditorium opened on August 26th and function as an extension of the Estrel Congress Center (ECC) which has been in operation since 1999. The centerpiece of the new structure is the Auditorium itself, which, with its tiered-seating for 800 guests, offers a first-class view of the 48 sqm permanently installed LED screen and an outstanding listening experience through specially designed acoustic walls.

In addition to this unique for Berlin Auditorium, the new building is home to an additional 10 event rooms for up to 240 people, as well as technical facilities and food & beverage service areas. Spanning two light-filled floors connected by escalators and open foyers, contemporary artwork by Felix Kiessling, Cajsa von Zeipel, Tomas Saraceno and Jeppe Hein contribute to the special ambiance.

The new building is technically equipped for the digital future. With a fiber optic network for broadband Internet, streaming encoders for hybrid events and remote cameras, all rooms can be connected via video and networked with one another. With permanently installed laser projectors, screens, AES-encrypted microphones for voice amplification and state-of-the-art lighting technology for creative lighting, events can be orchestrated quickly with minimal effort for set-up and dismantling. The existing technology can be used at any time, thus offering the client a cost saving advantage.

In January 2021, as a forerunner to this digital future, the ECC established a digital studio in its existing facility from which hybrid and fully digital lectures, discussions, product presentations, etc. can be streamed.

With the opening of the Auditorium, the ECC now offers 30,000 sqm of event space. The spectrum of function space options - from small to XXL for up to 15,000 guests, coupled with the direct connection to the hotel and show theater, offer event clients countless possibilities to organize the perfect event - whether a live event, hybrid or pure streaming. In addition to all the innovation, the "all under one roof" concept still applies at the Estrel. Despite the prodigious capacities and immense technical possibilities, the client benefits from having one designated event management contact who streamlines the planning for the client by coordinating the various well-rehearsed internal teams.
