Face-to-face events in the time of the Corona Virus?
The Estrel Berlin has impressively demonstrated how to facilitate safe face-to-face events in the time of the Corona virus.
Europe's largest hotel, congress and entertainment centre quickly developed an extremely comprehensive hygiene and safety concept which adeptly makes use of the Estrel's size and adaptability and has come to set a standard in the event and hotel industry. For example, the Estrel Show Theatre's hygiene and safety concept, in operation since August, has been called "outstanding" by the Berlin Health Department. Above all, however, the Estrel Congress Center (ECC) boasts over 25,000 sqm of event space in addition to spacious outdoor areas and flexible room plans, enabling a strategic use of space which ensures that social distancing rules can be optimally implemented. On top of that, the Estrel Congress Center (ECC) is currently being expanded by another 5,000 square meters, so that eleven additional conference rooms, spaciously hosting up to 800 people, will be available for safe meetings in 2021.
In addition to the ECC's large and adaptable spaces, everything an event and its participants may additionally need can be found under one roof at the Estrel, reducing the risk of external infection. The ECC is directly connected to the hotel and restaurant area as well as the Estrel's own show theatre. As a result, many organizers have already opted to place their trust in the Estrel in these trying times: In the latter half of 2020, the ECC hosted Berlin's Real Estate Congress, the FDP's political convention, the German Society for Nephrology's annual trade show and the German Veterinary Congress, to name a few. If 2020 has made one thing abundantly clear it is that nothing can replace actual interpersonal encounters. Face-to-face collaboration is fundamental for good and successful business relations. The Estrel continues to be an ideal venue, putting the health of guests and employees first.
