A sneak peek into the new Estrel Auditorium
The structure of the 5,000 sqm Estrel Auditorium has already been completed and this newest expansion of the Estrel Congress Center (ECC) will open in a few months.
The striking new Auditorium has an innovate architectural design, enabling events and congresses with the most modern specifications. The building can host an additional 240 people in its ten conference rooms, each of which is outfitted with cutting edge technology. The floor plan of the conference rooms is adaptable and spaces can be combined or subdivided as needed. The light-flooded rooms are spread across two floors, opening up into a shared central foyer which is equipped with escalators and an integrated catering concept. With its newest enlargement, the Estrel is responding to the growing need for spacious, functional and flexible conference rooms as well as the increased demand for hybrid events.
Berlin's governing mayor Michael Müller toured the site on July 8, 2020. Managing director of the Estrel, Ute Jacobs, accompanied the tour and explained how the auditorium will set the Estrel apart in post-corona times. "Thanks to the new auditorium, we can offer our customers even more space in the future; everything will be even brighter and more functional. We can also facilitate the increasingly popular hybrid event formats by offering digital accompaniment for face-to-face meetings," says Estrel founder and owner Ekkehard Streletzki.
Since opening its doors in 1994, Estrel Berlin has reinvented itself time and again in response to changing demands. The Estrel has been Germany’s largest hotel from day one and went on to add its own onsite theatre just three years later.
