I look after the approximately 60 trainees we have at the moment. As their designated contact person, they come to me with their questions, concerns and wishes.
How and when did you come to the Estrel?
After the closure of the Swissôtel Berlin 2018, I was able to seamlessly transition over to working in the employee service center at the Estrel Berlin. I find it super exciting to work for such a large company because there are a wide variety of tasks and challenges as well as countless future opportunities.
How does one imagine your typical day-to-day work?
We have developed various standards to ensure high-quality training. I feel responsible for the implementation and optimization of these standards. In order to know how the trainees are doing in their respective programs, I am always there to listen . In addition, I hold routine discussions and visit all trainees and trainers in their departments.
What do you find particularly exciting about your profession?
The daily interaction with the employees, especially with the trainees and my co-workers. I also enjoy seeing how the trainees develop not only professionally but also personally during the training period – this is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a training coordinator.
Where is your favourite place in the Estrel?
The two Convention Halls - I find it just fascinating the way in which these two huge rooms can be set-up so differently.
When not at the Estrel, where would one typically find you?
Definitely outside in the fresh air, either with friends in the park or playing sports.
