Directly opposite the Estrel's existing buildings, on the southern side of Berlin's Sonnenallee, a hotel tower with 750 rooms and suites is being built. At 175 meters it will be Berlin's tallest non-technical building. In the sloping top floor of the high rise there will be a Sky Lounge with an outside terrace offering a breathtaking view of Berlin. The tower will be equipped with large event spaces that open up onto Neukölln's canal with its popular promenade, as well as a modern spa and fitness area, dining facilities and a car park hosting 500 parking spaces with direct access to the highway.

The distinctive architecture of the Estrel Tower, designed by the architectural office Barkow Leibinger, alongside the existing Estrel buildings, form a “gateway to the city” at their tactical Neukölln location: From the Estrel, Berlin's multiple centres can easily be reached via public transportation. In addition, the expansion of the A 100 leaves the Estrel with its very own highway access, further reducing the already brief travel time to the recently opened BER international airport.

The Estrel Tower complements the now 25-year-old Estrel Berlin perfectly. Over the past years, the demand for event space and hotel rooms at the ECC (Estrel Congress Center) has grown steadily. Already in 2016, the ECC was developed to the size of 25,000 m². Another expansion is currently underway, including the construction of further conference rooms and a new auditorium seating up to 900 people. This newest addition to the ECC, which adds an additional 3,500 m², opens in the beginning of next year.
